They had already planned a trip to Italy but Milos decided to surprise Paulina and ask her to marry him: without adding any words, and with their faces streaked with tears of emotion, they had decided that they would say their “Yes, I do!” in front of the most iconic monument in northern Italy and the fifth largest church in the world, the gothic cathedral of the Duomo in Milan.
Simple and elegant were the words with which Milos and Paulina described the wedding when I asked them how they imagined it. Two of the most evocative places in the city, the Duomo in Milan and Palazzo Reale, with its imposing architecture and its frescoes that tell ancient stories, have certainly made this trip an unforgettable experience even for the few, very few guests in front of whom Paulina and Milos have chosen to promise each other eternal love.
